Savings and critical illness plans in one table. Filter by insurer or type, then compare column by column.
The table gathers the 26 plans featured on this site (13 savings, 13 critical illness). Plan names and parameters come from each insurer's official product page and product brochure (see the checked date in the page notice on the savings and critical illness pages). "Key features" summarises official highlights only — non-guaranteed benefits are not listed. For a formal comparison, refer to each insurer's benefit illustration.
Sort by clicking a header, then use the filters to narrow the shortlist to two or three plans before reading the illustrations.

Type in the key figures from your own policy illustration: savings plans by projected cash value, critical illness by projected sum assured. Every point on the chart is a number you entered — the site only joins the dots. It neither illustrates a product for an insurer nor assumes a return for you.
Self-filled tool: every point on these charts comes from the numbers you enter yourself. This site does not hold or use any insurer's official benefit illustration data. The default values are only a throwaway example — replace them with the figures in your own illustration. Blank fields stay blank; neither the chart nor the table will fill them in for you.
We went through the official product pages and brochures of all 13 critical illness plans, one by one, and recorded only the mechanisms the insurers state in writing. The result: all 13 pay a dividend on top of the sum assured (and that dividend is not guaranteed), while some also offer an optional inflation-increase benefit. This table is what explains why the cover in a given year on the chart above can sit above the nominal sum assured.

How to use this: enter the cover by year in the chart above, then read this column — for a plan marked "participating", the part above the nominal sum assured is dividend face value and not guaranteed; plans marked "optional inflation increase" have a second, contractual route to a rising sum assured (an extra premium applies).

Beyond the numbers, structure, service and personal fit all decide whether a policy is right.
Share of guaranteed cash value, non-guaranteed dividend mechanics (annual / reversionary / terminal), the surrender value curve and break-even point.
Ownership, length of operation in Hong Kong, fulfilment ratio history and how conservative the investment strategy is.
For critical illness: conditions covered, payout counts and waiting periods. For savings: death benefit and succession flexibility.
Premiums, the insurance levy, currency switching and partial surrender arrangements, and whether policy loans are available.
Application and underwriting process, claims efficiency, online servicing platforms and how responsive after-sales support is.
Whether the term, currency and stage of family responsibility line up with your situation. This one carries the most weight.
Subtract first, then add: rule out what clearly does not fit, then go deeper on what is left.
Lock in a plan type and two or three insurers, rather than jumping between a dozen plans.
Only look at columns where plans genuinely differ — premium term, currency options, multiple-payout waiting periods — and how they match your needs.
Run the IRR for savings plans, check condition definitions for critical illness cover, then look at the insurer's fulfilment ratio history.
